Independent loner, enjoys books, stimulating conversation about issues of importance (that means I could not care less about who won what Idol or Reality show sponsored by the Fox Newstainment and Propaganda Channel), saving money and living "anti-capitalist" whenever I can! Preserving the dignity of workers, the values of families by those who must work labor hours to obtain freedom, and would like someone who is interested in social justices well as having fun. More of a bookworm than a TV or movie buff. Love hiking; enjoy desert drives. I believe in honestly and doing good ahead of material gains or possessions. More likely to be caught at thrift stores and try to buy everything from resale shops when possible. Attend protest rallies and walk for political candidates. Think of myself as funny, a bit eccentric but intelligent. Music tastes are equally diverse: Mississippi Blues from the 20s & 30s, folk music of Woody Guthrie and others from the depression era, labor music, Yiddish Folk and Klezmer music. A a fun partner, one who is socially aware, interested in being social, and even sometimes pushing me to be a bit more active and less introspective. Someone who believes strongly in liberal principles, and more adventurous than me! LOL Seeking a close friend, companion, "family" since my immediate family are all James Dobson-type evangelical Christians, and that means anti-gay hypocrites. Two grown children living in distant states. Anyone play Euchre? Dominos? Remember the marble game? I would consider myself low-maintenance; I would be happy to just "be" together, even if lost in our own thoughts rather than a "joined at the hip" relationship.

My problem seems to be that lesbians all have houses and dogs; which means it makes it difficult to get away from responsibilities as well as the thought of merging such household units together is daunting. Do you feel the same way?
