Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry is a big one, and then just about anything by David Levithan, especially Two Boys Kissing and Boy Meets Boy. The Giver Quartet by Lois Lowry is also very dear to me, as are The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton and The Chrysalids by John Wyndham.
I'm an extremely fussy eater, but I love pasta, fish and chips, breakfast foods, Chinese food, and more 'plain' foods - like chicken, ham, pork, etc. I'm really fussy with vegetables, too, but I love sweet potato, carrots, turnip, beets, potatoes, peas, and corn. I am lactose intolerant, although not too severely, so I still eat ice cream, cheese and yogurt, but I tend to stick to almond and lactose-free milk. I have a massive sweet-tooth and a bit of a Starbucks addiction (understandably so, given how long I've worked there, lol).
Everything! Almost literally, tbqh. My itunes and spotify are full of different genres and languages. I do lean towards pop-rock, punk rock, and country though, especially in recent years. Some of my faves are One Direction, 5 Seconds of Summer, Little Mix, Christophe Willem, Zaho, the 1975, Green Day, Good Charlotte, Billy Talent, Simple Plan, and MEST. I also listen to a lot of musical soundtracks and maritime music.
I would say I have the traditional morbid and dark sense of humour that a lot of millenials shares.
I enjoy reading and writing, and I spend a lot of my free-time reading or messing around on tumblr. I enjoy going out to the movies and attending concerts, and I used to regularly attend a board games night, but due to scheduling issues, I haven't been able to recently and I miss it. I enjoy social deduction games like Witch Hunt and Avalon, but I also enjoy more simple games like King Domino and Splendor.
I am a practicing witch, although I am neither pagan nor Wiccan. I collect crystals, work a lot with candles, and am learning tarot.
I haven't done as much travelling as I'd like, but I went to England for a month as part of a summer abroad course; I was staying in Oxford, but visited Stratford upon Avon and London. On a second visit to Europe, I spent time again in London, and also in both Barry and Cardiff, Wales and in Paris, France.
I've been to Florida a few times as a child; lived in both Mississauga and Etobicoke, Ontario since moving away from Nova Scotia; visited Ottawa several times; have been to a few parts of Québec; have spent many family vacations in PEI; have visited Vancouver once; and have been to New Brunswick a time or two.
I would love to visit Ireland and Italy someday.
relatively adaptive, i think. i'm completely open to other cultures, but i worry about the conflicts we may have if we differ in belief on key issues.
